L-Phenylalanine is a dietary essential amino acid and should be obtained from food or dietary supplements.
  L-Phenylalanine exists at about 2 to 5% in protein. It is found in corn and seeds but cannot be easily detached .....from protein.
  L-Phenylalanine can be converted into a different amino acid. Individuals who suffer from Phenylketonuria (PKU)    should not take it .
